What made you join WA? I joined Waterman Aspen at a most opportune point when I was in search of advancing my career, to be acknowledged for my experience and looking for bright future prospects.  Being sought out by Waterman Aspen for my skills and experience was tremendously encouraging and most definitely a stepping stone to greater things to come for my career advancement and professional development.

What secondments have been most interesting and why? I have currently been working four years now in my first secondment position; it’s been the most rewarding post I have experienced as I have gained valuable experience from my role as Lead Engineer working in Highways Adoption, and Suds Engineering.  I’ve been able to use this experience to advance my professional qualification with the CIHT.  It’s been interesting because no two days are the same, there is always something new to experience and learn from.  My colleagues at work place are all highly approachable, helpful, willing to impart their experience to assist me with my schemes.  As my experience advances, I find myself also becoming a valued contributor to the development of my team.

What are the best aspects of working for WA? Waterman Aspen has been immensely supportive on advancing my work experiences, progressing relevant training for professional qualifications and career development.  I attained my Eng Tech qualification with the direct support of my two senior managers and fellow Waterman colleagues without any hesitation on their part. I have been directly rewarded for my achievements and appreciate the recognition I was shown.

Waterman Aspen also arrange many social activities outside of the office to bring fellow employees together and celebrate our successes which makes me feel valued & appreciated.

Why would you recommend working for WA? I would recommend working for Waterman Aspen as they take time to ensure you are enjoying your secondment, assist you with developing your skills, experiences, and professional development.  All you need to be is enthusiastic in your role, become involved to keep exploring your own opportunities within your secondment, and enjoy your journey to advance onwards and upwards!
