Lisa FoxallWhat made you join WA? I worked for Waterman Group as a graduate and became a Chartered Engineer 12 years ago. I then left to gain experience with other organisations.  I then returned 5 years ago to work for Waterman Group then subsequently transferred to Waterman Aspen.

What secondments have been most interesting and why? My current secondment with Amey and my previous secondment with Keepmoat Homes have been the most interesting for me.

I enjoy working closely with Development Control and completing S7/S278/S38 technical checks on Development Infrastructure Schemes.

What are the best aspects of working for WA? Flexibility and autonomy.  When I did not enjoy one of my placements, I informed my manager and before long, they backfilled my position and secured another placement for me.  The management team trusts their staff and allows full autonomy to carry out day-to-day duties for our Clients.

Why would you recommend working for WA? Interesting placements and the salary is very competitive (staff salary reviews take place regularly).  The management team work very hard to retain staff and ensure they are happy in their placements.
