About

The Waterman Aspen Skills Academy is a structured and bespoke development programme for all our staff to learn new skills, gain apprenticeships, academic and professional qualifications to help boost their career opportunities. Our aim is to improve staff satisfaction and ensure we have a highly competent and skilled workforce, while improving health and wellbeing in the workplace.

What makes us different?

Through a tailored Personal Progression Plan, staff are encouraged to identify and achieve their professional qualifications and personal development aspirations, along with linking to local engagement projects to ensure we are making a positive contribution to the industry and our community. Bespoke Personal Progression Plan (PPP) – you’ll receive your PPP before your start date, so you’re ready to go from day one with 1-2-1 support
Access to over 16,000 online training courses –  from specialist software including BIM and Civils 3D and NEC Project Management, to leadership and wellbeing skills
Limitless progression opportunities – our flexible structure means there’s no limits, timescales or anything else to stop your progression with us
Extensive pool of in-house support – our team of regional training managers, mentors, supervising civil engineers, active in-house graduate forums, and skills champions are all here to support and encourage your career development
