Waterman is delighted that Georgia Lilley and Taylor Young-Chambers have been shortlisted for the Consultancy and Engineering Awards. Run by the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), this prestigious award celebrates outstanding people, teams and projects from the world of consultancy, engineering and the built environment.
Georgia Lilley, a Design Engineer Apprentice in our London office, has been shortlisted for the ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award. Currently studying at London South Bank University, Georgia has been part of Waterman’s apprentice scheme since September 2018. Passionate about inspiring the next generation of civil engineers and raising the profile of careers in this exciting field, Georgia has participated in a wide range of STEM engagement activities including speaking engagements, panel debates and career fairs at schools, colleges and universities.
Shortlisted for ‘Emerging Professional of the Year’, Taylor Young-Chambers is an Area Manager for the London North region with our specialist secondment team. Joining Waterman Aspen in October 2020, Taylor is currently seconded to Portsmouth City Council’s Regeneration Team as a Project Manager and Highways Engineer, where he is delivering highway infrastructure improvements across the region. This includes the South-East Hampshire Rapid Transit (SEHRT) schemes and the Eastern Road Cycle improvements.
Award winners will be announced in a virtual ceremony via YouTube and on ACE’s website on Thursday 16th September at 12 noon.
Commenting on the shortlist in a recent statement, Darrell Matthews, Director of Membership and Business Engagement at ACE, said: “We’re delighted with the positive response to this year’s awards which have been among our most popular to date. This has made the judges’ task even more difficult than usual, however, as it has resulted in an exceptional shortlist!”
