Waterman Aspen entered a team and sponsored the Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin competitions in the inaugural Highways England Asset Community East (ACE) charity golf day at Cambridgeshire Bar Hill Golf Club on Thursday 23rd September.
Our team consisted of Neil Tomlinson (Associate Director), Simon Bailey (Area Manager), Geoff Ellwood (Area Manager) and Luxman Jeyalingham (Project Manager) and finished an amazing 4th overall.
Our sponsored prizes went to Tony Watson (Mway Communications) for longest drive and nearest to the pin went to Gavin Dunmow (John Graham Construction Ltd).
Waterman Aspen are working in partnership with Atkins on the East of England Design Services Contract for National Highways, covering Areas 6&8 of the network. This was one of the first events to encompass all members of the client, Framework Delivery and Design community since Covid restrictions were lifted. There were around 60 attendees from multiple organisations, all adding to a colourful and entertaining day.
Our team commented that it was really nice to get out of the office and enjoy some fresh air.
All monies raised at the event will be submitted to local charities.
