2025 has certainly been one to remember. Thank you to our clients, colleagues and industry friends for a fantastic year.
Here are Waterman Aspen’s top moments from 2025… 👀
Soulat Naqvi, Kristian Seddon, Neil Norris and Colin Cromar (the fantastic four) from our North West region, used their Waterman Aspen In The Community day to complete litter picking along Sefton beach, by Ainsdale Discovery centre.
A few of the team members travelled over 40 miles for this noble cause and were excited to visit the beach after a long-confined environment of working from home.
They met John Dempsey (Engagement officer from Green Sefton) and he accompanied the team for the task. Besides litter picking, he talked about his experiences being a member of the wildlife team and our colleagues explored various species of plants and habitats along the beach. They sadly also came across a poor dead seal, washed onto the shore by high tides.
The sand dunes were explored while litter picking, along with the artificial ponds created for enhancing frog habitats along the shore.
The weather was kind with mild wind and moderate temperature, which helped with walking comfortably on the beach and negotiating the ups and downs of sand dunes without much exertion.
Each of the team filled up one bag of litter and noticed that, besides the usual litter on site, face masks are a new addition to the waste collected. Face masks are not biodegradable and are very damaging to the sea wildlife as well as shore habitat. They should always be disposed of appropriately.
A huge thank you to the team and well done for doing your bit to help the environment.
