Waterman Aspen celebrates achieving Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award

Waterman Aspen is proud to achieve the prestigious Armed Forces Covenant Silver Award, a significant milestone that recognises our ongoing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community – including Reservists, Veterans, service leavers, and their families. This achievement highlights our dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace, valuing the unique skills and experiences that military personnel bring to the civilian workforce.

The progression from the Bronze to the Silver Award has been driven by the dedication of our Armed Forces Working Group, which has been instrumental in championing the Armed Forces Covenant within our company. Members have participated in various charitable initiatives, such as donating a bench to the National Memorial Arboretum, and partnering with organisations like BuildForce, Help for Heroes, and the Bournemouth Air Festival. Many have also raised awareness by sharing their personal stories, which has helped create a stronger understanding amongst the wider business. These efforts have not only supported the Armed Forces community but have also played a key role in our progression from Bronze to Silver.

The impact of our Armed Forces employees at Waterman Aspen cannot be overstated. The unique skills they bring in leadership, teamwork, and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, are invaluable to our business. These skills translate directly into managing complex projects, handling demanding client meetings, and maintaining a results-driven approach across all aspects of our work. This has a direct positive impact on our projects, ensuring that they are consistently delivered to the highest standard.

Looking to the Future

As we celebrate the achievement of the Silver Award, we remain committed to supporting the Armed Forces community and will continue to nurture a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. We are excited to keep building on the work that has led us here, and hope to achieve the Gold Award in the future.

This achievement is just the beginning of our ongoing dedication to honouring those who have served, and we look forward to the continued success of our Armed Forces colleagues at Waterman Aspen.
