“From our humble beginnings less than six years ago, we are now well-positioned to make a real difference and we look forward to doing this with our renewed Mission, Vision and Values front and centre.”
Andrew Woodliffe – Director
Recently our Water & Environment team have reached the milestone of growing to 100 people strong. But where did it all begin, and how will the team continue their success?
Back in November 2016, our Midlands & South West Water Team was born with just four people headed up by Andrew Woodliffe as the Associate Director. Initial growth was via existing frameworks and partnerships; mostly with lead local flood authorities in the Midlands. As momentum grew, so did the skills and expertise within the team and it became its own national business unit in July 2017. Fast forward to January 2022 and growth had continued so much that the team officially split into four sub-regions for North, South, East and West.
The future remains positive as we continue working with the Environment Agency, water companies, lead local flood authorities and others via strategic partnerships – allowing us to deliver projects that leave a positive impact on the natural and built environment.
Other key achievements for the team include receiving a CIWEM accreditation for their professional development scheme and multiple volunteer days at landmark sites such as Kinver Edge National Trust and the Swift Valley Nature Reserve.
