We are delighted to announce that Graeme Barella, Area Manager in our North East region, has been named Young Professional of the Year at the CIHT North East & Cumbria virtual awards ceremony. The panel commented that he “demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment to his work professionally with a mix of experience, aspiration and willingness to share his experience with colleagues which is impressive”.
Graeme commented on his success:
“I am delighted to have been announced winner of the Young Professional of the Year award with the CIHT and I’m extremely grateful to the management team at Waterman Aspen for nominating me – especially to Rhys Hamilton and Andrew Bruce for the support they have shown me this year. Since joining Waterman Aspen, my secondment to Sunderland City Council has given me fantastic development opportunities to progress as an engineer, whilst providing me with a strong support network of experienced professionals along the way. I’m excited to see how my career as a Highways Engineer will develop in the coming years and hope I can achieve Chartered status in the near future. Thank you again!“
Congratulations Graeme on this fantastic achievement and recognition. Also a huge well done too all winners and nominations for the rest of the categories.
