Hoorah! We were finally allowed back out again! Following a long period of no face-to-face socials, the Yorkshire & Humber Region held their first post-pandemic event in August 2021 at Newmillerdam in Wakefield.
A great evening began with a woodland wander around the dam, approximately 4km from the start to the finish point at The Pledwick Well Inn, where 34 staff and managers enjoyed a stroll on a nice summer’s eve, filled with conversations of new opportunities, new beginnings, old tales, and a little banter.
At the Pledwick Well Inn, the group was treated to an exceptional outdoor dining area which was enough to fit the multitude, supplied with outdoor heaters that encouraged maximum interaction long into the night. The food was exceptional, recommended by all who attended, and it was a thoroughly enjoyed evening by all.
Overall, the event was a fantastic success; it was great to welcome in so many new faces, and everyone left feeling the warm glow of Aspen hospitality.
