In typical week you will

  • Prepare technical reports for both internal and external purposes
  • Provide technical support including project advice and design assessments
  • Preparation of solutions at various design stages of a project; drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Undertake technical work checks and approvals of drawings, Health and Safety packages and communications programmes
  • Resolve technical issues to provide support the delivery of projects or design objective
  • Assist with ongoing improvement in the services provided by the team

Experience required for successful application

  • UK Experience within a public, Private or third sector UK based client Design of traffic Calming, Cycle Lanes, controlled crossings
  • Competency with the use TSRGD and Design Standards.
  • Knowledge of software such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D and KeySIGNS
  • knowledge of DMRB
  • Knowledge of Manual for Streets
  • Experience of Traffic Regulation Orders
  • Knowledge and previous signing and lining schemes
  • Involvement in the full project lifecycle, including budget/finance control.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable
  • Relevant design software/CAD/Civils 3D /where appropriate
