Experience required for successful application…

  • Monitor the progress and quality of works undertaken by statutory undertakers to ensure compliance with the requirements of the New Roads and Street Works Act
  • Monitor safety standards of works on the highway ensuring the safety of highway users.
  • Operating an effective programme of Sample inspections (Cat A, B & C) and the compliance with the requirements of NRSWA.
  • Monitor the placing of skips, scaffolding etc, on the public highway.
  • Maintain records of all inspections to ensure the council has adequate records for future reference and section 58 defence.
  • Investigate all reports of defective reinstatement and pursue the rectification of defects. Ensure all remedials works are to the required standards and quality required of the Statutory undertakers.
  • Liaise with both Internal and External stakeholders
