Waterman is a leading environmental consultancy, specialising in a broad range of services, with a focus on understanding our clients’ business needs and advising how best to mitigate the risks they face on their projects from complex urban regeneration projects, through to international corporate acquisitions.

Our Landscape team offers practical knowledge of the design and implementation process, enabling us to deliver schemes that balance economic constraint and timescale, optimising any given sites potential to create safe, attractive and sustainable environments. We have extensive experience in promoting land for development through the development plan process. Our advice on landscape and visual matters contributes from pre-acquisition appraisals of land to the completion of townscape, landscape and visual impact assessments.

Our Ecology Teams provide specialist advice in relation to ecological constraints and solutions through mitigation and design strategies. We are able to undertake all types of terrestrial and aquatic surveys in both greenfield and brownfield sites. Protected species, such as Badgers, Bats or Great Crested Newts, require careful consideration where there is potential for disturbance from development. We have produced an Ecology Survey Calendar as a useful guide to illustrate the optimal survey periods for the various key species in planning terms. You can view it here.

Waterman Aspen secondees work on short and long term secondments, helping our clients cover peaks in workload and filling gaps when they need specialist expertise. Secondees are integrated in project teams wherever our clients need them.
