Experience required…
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Able to design and develop infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, drainage systems, and signalling, with key experience to demonstrate this.
- Experience in conducting site assessments and feasibility studies to determine project requirements and constraints.
- Able to prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Able to oversee and manage project execution and work with the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Proven ability to collaborate with designers, planners, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate engineering solutions.
- Ability to perform and review engineering calculations, simulations, and modelling.
- Detailed knowledge of local authority and industry regulations and standards, and experience at ensuring compliance with these.
- Able to identify and resolve technical issues and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Expert in preparing and presenting reports, proposals, and project documentation.
Desirable:
- Working towards or achievement of Chartered status.
- Proficiency in engineering design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
- Experience with sustainable design practices and environmental considerations.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and innovations in civil engineering.
