Project Description

Waterman, working in a strategic partnership with Atkins, was appointed to the Hampshire County Council Strategic Partnership Contract in May 2014 to deliver professional services across a broad range of sectors in the built environment. This 4 year agreement has options to extend to 8 years.

The fee spend in the first year of the contract is approximately £1m, and Waterman currently supplies 25 professional and technical staff on secondment to the local authority.

Our Role with Hampshire County Council

Our staff are helping deliver drainage and highways maintenance projects and provide transport planning and development management advice. The scope of work is wide ranging and staff who are working on secondment in integrated teams with the client also include senior geotechnical and structural engineers to laboratory technicians.

This long term contract gives Waterman an opportunity to establish a secure foothold in Hampshire and the ability to use this base as a springboard to provide specialist secondment services to other clients on the M3 corridor and South coast.
