We’re wishing a huge congratulations to Kerry Foster, Josh Wilce, John Parkin, Tim Kershaw, Chris Weeler and Marc Stedman on their promotions to Regional Directors in their respective regions and specialisms. All have previously held senior management positions and have contributed to the rapid growth of their sectors.

Kerry Foster - Regional Director, Water & Environment South
Kerry joined Waterman Aspen in March 2020 as Technical Director for the Water team. She has played a key role in the rapid growth and development of our Water team, with a focus in the South whilst supporting the national team. Kerry is a Fellow of CIWEM and a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Scientist with 20 years’ experience in the flood risk and water management industry. Kerry has always been very enthusiastic about mentoring and supporting career development and mentors many colleagues as a qualified CIWEM mentor and registered CIWEM reviewer and assessor.
Fun fact – Outside of work Kerry enjoys muddy trail running in the local countryside with her local running club.
Josh Wilce - Regional Director, Water & Environment East
Josh joined Waterman Aspen in 2017 as part of the newly formed ‘Water Team’ following a number of years in Flood Risk Management for local government and private consultancy. Josh worked alongside senior management to grow the Water Team to where it stands today whilst maintaining his technical and professional development. In recent years, Josh has achieved chartership to CIWEM and delivered a number of important flood mitigation and water quality improvement schemes for Highways England and most recently the River Leen Catchment with his work with the Environment Agency.
Fun fact – In his spare time, Josh enjoys spending time with his young family, competitive sailing, watching motorsports and mechanising and is currently undertaking a ground up restoration rebuild of a classic Triumph TR6.
John Parkin- Regional Director, Water & Environment West
John joined Waterman Aspen in 2019 as an Associate Director for Water. As a flood risk management specialist his secondment highlights include an 18 month placement in the Environment Agency Programme and Contract Management team, where he project managed the Tenbury Wells Flood Risk Management Scheme. John has also been placed at Warwickshire County Council as a Programme Delivery Lead to develop Outline Business Cases for community flood risk management schemes. John looks forward to growing both the public and private business sectors across the West Midlands and strengthening links within both Waterman Apsen and Waterman Group.
Fun fact – As well as being a CIWEM Chartered Flood Risk Manager John is also a member of The Magic Circle and enjoys performing magic as well as learning about the history of the art form.
Tim Kershaw - Regional Director, Scotland
Tim joined Waterman Aspen in 2013, becoming an Associate Director in 2015 and now Regional Director. Tim leads the management team in Scotland, serving sustained demand for our services and successfully growing our business in roads and transportation, along with civil and structural engineering across a wide and diverse client.
Fun fact – Tim is a keen cyclist and enjoys nothing more than getting out and hitting the mountain bike trails or exploring the quiet roads around the Scottish Borders.
Chris Wheeler - Regional Director, Rail
Chris has been with Waterman Aspen since early 2020. He was brought in to support with national diversification into new infrastructure sectors. Chris has successfully grown our presence in the Rail sector and established a Rail operational management team in that time, focused on supporting clients with projects including High Speed 2 (HS2), Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), East West Rail (EWR), Coventry Station redevelopment and the Midland Metro Expansion. Moving forward Chris and the team will now focus on growing Waterman Aspen’s presence in Energy and Aviation sectors, as well as bolstering our Rail offering even further.
Fun fact – Outside of work you’ll find Chris riding his road bike, gravel bike or turbo trainer in his ‘pain cave’ at home!
Marc Stedman - Regional Director, Water & Environment North
Marc joined Waterman Aspen in 2019 as a Technical Director in the growing Water team having +20 years’ experience in the sector. He has supported continued growth in the Water Sector with a particular interest in developing the teams Project and Contract management services for our clients. Marc has been driving the business in the North and looks to work collaboratively with the other regions.
Fun fact – Outside of work Marc is a keen DIY’er and puppy sitter for his daughter 2 years old multipool, Lola.
