Andrew Saffrey appointed to Design:Midlands Panel

Waterman Aspen engineer Andrew Saffrey has recently been appointed to the pool of Design:Midlands Design Review panellists.

Design:Midlands assists local authorities, developers, communities and other organisations by providing an independent and impartial design review service as well as other resources. The Design Review Panel pool is drawn from professionals across the design and planning industry – architects, urban designers, engineers, environmental specialists and more – with a bespoke panel being curated specifically to match each proposal being brought for review.

All panellists have a day job, being recognised as regional and national experts in their fields, so attend Design Reviews outside their normal working time, albeit for a small stipend.  Andrew brings his blend of highway engineering and urban design experience to the table.

The panel is under-represented by highway engineers, and women and minorities in particular, so anybody wishing to be considered to join the panel is encouraged to put themselves forward for consideration by getting in touch via www.designmidlands.org
