Naz Huda along with 21 others completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on Saturday 19th September in just under 12 hours. The walk is a challenging 25 miles and 5000ft of ascent set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, ascending the 3 peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.
The weather and the day as a whole were glorious. Naz said his old footy knees were ok and he had no blisters but there were occasions when his quads gave up and he was in agony. With lots of cheering thought they all got through.
The challenge was to raise money for a local charity called NSM Foundation that aims to help young high school girls with self-esteem and self-confidence. The charity are on target to raise at least £5,000 which will help take groups out to these kinds of places which the girls would not ordinarily have a chance to experience.
Well done to the whole team for completing the challenge and raising such a great amount of money.
