Waterman Aspen took a considered and exciting decision at the end of last year committing to an ongoing programme of investment for all levels of management in the company. Through the Chartered Management Institute, we are working towards every manager in Waterman Aspen being Chartered and enhancing our business through their, knowledge, ethics, and application. Membership of the CMI ensures our managers work ethically to a professional code of conduct and have tools and mentors whenever they need it.
The programme kicked off at the beginning of the year managed by Divisional Director Linda McGregor, with an aim of every Senior Manager becoming chartered by the end of 2021. Followed closely by a programme for Associates and Area Managers starting in 2021.
Leading from the front was our own MD Mark Emberton who, as well as holding CEng (Chartered Civil Engineer) has also achieved CMgr Status. Congratulations Mark!
The corporate membership of CMI offers our managers a wealth of online resources and webinars and it ensures we are kept up to date with current practise. The status of Chartered Manager (CMgr) validates the quality, experience, and ethics of each of our senior Management. Being a member of CMI allows us to access CPD empowering all our Senior management and taking every opportunity to continue developing their skills in every way. Our programme will continue to grow and be extended throughout all our management grades, hopefully as always leading from the front by our senior management to support, encourage, train and mentor them as is essential in any organisation.
