Midlands Highway Alliance awarded for successful teamwork

The Midlands Highway Alliance (MHA) has been awarded the Team Achievement Award at the Institution of Civil Engineers East Midlands Merit Awards 2016.

Midlands Highway Alliance Partnership

The MHA’s entry showcased its successful Professional Services Partnership 2 (PSP2) Framework. The partnership with AECOM Waterman started in April 2015 and through a combination of strong leadership, performance management and detailed business planning, is on track to exceed some of the previous partnership’s outcomes.

MHA Manager, Peter Barclay said: “Admittedly, developing a replacement successful partnership that involves 20 local authorities and more than a 1000 employees was not going to be easy but working with AECOM and their strategic partner, Waterman, we have been able to set out clear objectives whilst working collaboratively”.

“The award is a fantastic achievement for the partnership and we are delighted to be recognised for our teamwork and joint approach to projects.”

The ceremony which took place in Nottingham on 1 July highlighted some of the key achievements in the region’s highways and transport industry over the past year.
