Training
At Waterman Aspen we recognise the support and effort it takes to be successful in gaining further academic qualifications. For most graduates and technicians this will only be the beginning and the next step will be to ensure the right choice is made when selecting a career path and choosing an employer that will continue to look after their professional interests.
Training isn’t just about Graduates and Technicians though. We encourage all our staff to maintain recommended industry standards of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a minimum. CPD training keeps our staff up to date with the latest developments. It ensures they meet the requirements of their professional bodies which in turn both helps their careers progress and strengthens the capabilities of our company.
Our staff play a key role in the standing and development of the company. We recognise the contribution they make and, by providing excellent opportunities and experience, we ensure they maximise their potential in their chosen fields. At Waterman Aspen we don't sell the company on training promises that cannot be fulfilled - we sell it on our quality and the fact that we provide training support day-in and day-out.
Being part of a multi-disciplinary company we recruit a broad range of graduates and technicians, disciplines covered including civil engineering, structural engineering, architectural engineering, transportation planning and building surveying.
For our trainee civil engineers we offer a training scheme that is approved by the Institution of Civil Engineers for the three levels of Chartered membership (CEng), Incorporated membership (IEng) and Engineering Technician membership (EngTech). The scheme is structured such that diversity in experience can be achieved, the ultimate goal being success in acquiring professional qualifications that are amongst the best in the world.
The Training Agreement is a partnership between the employee and Waterman Aspen. We undertake to provide all necessary support from our network of Supervising Civil Engineers. We seek to maximise your potential and achieve membership of the Institution at the appropriate grade in the shortest possible time, being able to then demonstrate a number of qualities including technical excellence, energy and enthusiasm, imagination, innovation, common sense, pro-activity, hard work, an ability to work with others and an interest in what is taking place outside of your day to day work!
Choosing a training provider is a big decision to make. Experience shows that Waterman Aspen delivers the exact training requirements sought by our staff. Read what our current Graduates and Technicians have to say.
