Our Engineers have the technical ability, experience and training to meet the requirements of HD 19/03 of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, the Manual for Streets (2007) and the IHT Guidelines for Road Safety 2008.

Audits are undertaken in accordance with Standard HD19/03 Road Safety Audit and we have experience in carrying out audits at the following stages:

  • Stage 1 - (Preliminary Design)
  • Stage 2 - (Detailed Design) or combined Stage 1/2 Audit
  • Stage 3 - (Post Construction / Pre-Opening)
  • Stage 4a - (Review following 12 months of scheme completion)
  • Stage 4b - (Review following 36 months of scheme completion)


Example Projects

M1 Westlink Improvement Scheme – Belfast, Northern Ireland.
£137M Widening of the M1 in Belfast from junction 2 (Stockman's Lane) to junction 1 (Broadway) and the A12 Westlink in Belfast to three lanes as far as Divis Street; and the full grade separation of the Broadway and Grosvenor Road junctions.
Brierley Hill Sustainable Access Network - RSA Stages1, 2, 3 and 4.
£25M New highway bypass construction scheme which included new signalised junctions, links roads, roundabouts and improvements to the tie in points with the existing highway network. The  Road Safety Audit work covered the overall scheme along with remote work at other strategic junctions in the surrounding area..
Walsall Town Centre Transportation Package.

£20M Highway improvement works to improve public transport links, strategic junctions operating efficiencies, pedestrian links and crossing facilities. The scheme involved substantial changes to the existing highway network to replace roundabouts with new traffic signal controlled junctions, and highway realignments to facilitate new bus lanes.
Burnt Tree Roundabout Improvement Scheme – Dudley / Sandwell Border.
£12M The joint project between Dudley and Sandwell councils to amend the existing five-arm roundabout into a new four-arm traffic signal controlled crossroads with the diversion of Tividale Road into a further new signal controlled junction on the A4123(T).
M6 Junction 2 Widening Scheme – Coventry.
Widening scheme to provide additional lanes on M6 exit slip roads, A46 and A4600 approach roads, and around the circulatory carriageway.
Ansty Park Manufacturing Technology Centre.
£130M 100acre development to create commercial space for manufacturers and research institutions.
