Waterman is Link-Up registered in a wide range of engineering, environmental and health & safety disciplines, offering a full multi-disciplinary service in all aspects of feasibility, design, planning and implementation of a wide range of surface and sub-surface rail projects.
Waterman has a strong track record in the rail sector and is currently civil, structural and environmental consultant for Network Rail’s new £109m National Centre in Milton Keynes. We have been involved in projects for various Train Operating Companies including Chiltern Railways, c2c Rail Ltd, South West Trains, Southern Railways, London Underground Ltd (LUL), Transport for London (TFL), Tubelines, local transport organisations and private developers and contractors. We currently have a number of technical staff on secondment with various clients within the rail sector.
We are currently supplying staff on secondment to Amey to undertake bridge inspection and assessment for Network Rail’s Civil Examination Framework Agreement (CEFA), incorporating examinations of bridges, tunnels, viaducts, structural assessments , operational property inspections and earthworks examinations.
Our secondees have experience in the design and structural assessment of metallic, concrete, masonry, timber and complex specialist structures. They can prepare detailed method statements, organise and manage trackside inspections requiring track possessions and are proficient in the design of track layouts, lighting designs and track drainage.
