• Nottingham City Council has introduced a unique system of variable message car park signs within the City centre.
  
  
• The City has been divided into five zones each zone being allocated a colour code and symbol, the colours and symbols being incorporated within the car park direction signs along with space availability. The name of each zone reflects the individual character of that area with the unique zones being Royal, Castle, Broadmarsh, Lace Market and Victoria.
  
  
• The network of signs consists of 43 variable message signs and 30 non-variable message signs all designed by Waterman Aspen’s employee Peter Yorke (pictured) who is on secondment to Nottingham City Council.
