newton & arkwright building major refurbishment

  • Following a £90 million pound investment, the towering Newton building, built in the 1950s, has been modernised and the Arkwright building, the Victorian creation so unsympathetically altered over the generations has been restored to reveal an architectural gem. The work has been carried out meticulously, watched closely by English Heritage.
  • Our HAMS team has provided technical quality assurance support during the refurbishment, ensuring that the works undertaken are completed in accordance with the specification. We have also provided ongoing quality information to assist with the overall scheme management of cost, programme, safety and environmental control.
