nottingham energy partnership (NEP)

community energy saving programme (CESP)

  • Our HAMS Team was commissioned by NEP in October 2009 to undertake research & development on the newly announced government driven £350 million CESP programme. CESP is part of a range of interventions aimed at reducing C02 emissions in dwellings by an average of 80% by 2050. This particular programme is aimed at improving the energy efficiency of solid wall properties in areas of multiple deprivation.
  • Our challenge included identifying the right technical treatments, materials and working out an estimate for the likely C02 savings for a CESP qualifying area within the Nottingham City conurbation. We also successfully identified how the funding mechanism worked which helped to provide an estimate to NEP of the likely funding the qualifying area was entitled to.
