about HAMS (housing and asset management services)

The Housing & Asset Management Services (HAMS) team provides services to Social Housing Providers (typically Local Authorities and Housing Associations).  These clients generally require more specialised services centred around social and private sector housing needs.  Remote consultancy advice is provided in addition to staff secondments to assist clients and their teams in providing improvements aimed at achieving better quality housing. Irrespective of tenure, many of our clients have vulnerable customers who need services delivered with extra care and sensitivity - our staff have been selected with this in mind.

We know and understand the range of challenges faced by our clients, from global issues (meeting the demands of the Climate Change Act 2008), to ensuring that professional front line staff are in place when it matters most to provide good quality customer services. We also have knowledge, capability and experience  in the successful delivery of  Decent Home Standard (DHS) retrofit projects, ensuring homes are safe via the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS), improving energy efficiency to alleviate fuel poverty, and adapting properties for independent living. More recently, we have contributed to the planning of Health Impact Assessments and Energy Efficiency Schemes via CESP.
