For almost 25 years we have been associated with civil engineering recruitment and have provided technical and professional staff to support infrastructure projects around the UK. With the energy sector set to expand and significant investment now proposed in nuclear and renewable energy facilities, Waterman Aspen can help solve the skills shortages faced by employers.

We provide coverage across the whole Energy sector and can assist companies to attract and engage the right skills on a temporary basis. Our management team continues to place staff into a wide range of Power and Energy sector jobs including Nuclear New Build and Decommissioning, Energy from Waste, Coal-Fired / CCGT Power Stations, Transmission & Distribution, Overhead Lines & Substations and Energy Security projects. We offer Energy jobs across the full project cycle including R&D and Manufacture, Technical Analysis, Development, Project Pre-Planning and Design, Construction and Operations & Maintenance functions.

power
Waterman has a proven capability in the field of Nuclear Safety Assessment, power plant engineering, fuel systems technology, materials handling systems and environmental and pre-planning issues. Other expertise includes the design of improvements to existing power station systems and the modification of combustion systems to accept renewable fuels. We are able to provide staff on secondment with full technical support in all these areas.

wind energy
Waterman has extensive experience in the Wind Energy sector including onshore, offshore and grid connection projects, and expertise at all project stages, from initial feasibility through planning to construction.

energy security

The Climate Change Act requires that by 2050 the UK’s annual carbon dioxide emissions should be reduced by 80% compared to 1990 levels. Home energy use is responsible for over a quarter of UK C02 emissions. Waterman can provide support for CESP (Community Energy Saving Programme) or CERT (Carbon Emission Reduction Target) projects; carry out energy surveys; provide guidance on Retrofit, New Build energy efficiency measures and renewable technologies; and prepare bid submissions for Grant funding. We can also develop Local Carbon Frameworks and carbon reduction strategies.

All temporary staff provided by Waterman Aspen benefit from the technical support, insight and expertise that Waterman has accumulated through delivery of consultancy projects.
