Nick
Nick is a Chartered Builder and joined Waterman Aspen as an Area Manager in January 2005 from Nottingham City Council, where he led a team of building surveyors in the housing department, managing multi-million pound improvement projects. He has long experience of project management of public sector schemes and, as a surveyor, has a particular interest in building pathology. Nick is currently working on developing business and new clients within the new Building & Surveying Division at Lockington Hall and is actively promoting both secondments and outsourcing.
Nick says, “I had been with Nottingham City Council for 13 years and I was feeling that my skills were very much underused. I needed a change of environment and I am pleased to say that Waterman Aspen have provided just that, together with the challenge and excitement associated with developing new business areas. Everyone is very supportive here, and I am looking forward to participating in the growth of the business”.
Nick had been considering leaving the council for some time, but had found difficulty in taking the first step away from secure employment.
“The salary package of flexible benefits offered to me was the clincher. I was already looking for more variety and challenge in my working life, and Waterman Aspen have provided that, whilst giving me the security of employment that is so important when you have the responsibility of wife, family and mortgage!”
